Chairman & C.E.O.
Bud has over twenty years of experience in the personal trust industry. He has worked for major regional banks in Virginia and Alabama with extensive experience in personal trust and estate administration. He holds a B.A. in History from Auburn University, a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. He has served in numerous capacities with the Alabama Bankers Trust Division and the Mobile Estate Planning Council.
President
Dan has been in the trust business for over thirty years. He began his career with the First National Bank of Mobile, later working for the trust department of SouthTrust, then moving to the First National Bank of Brewton in 1979, as department head. He is a graduate of the University of North Alabama and received his J.D. degree from the University of Alabama Law School and is a member of the Alabama Bar Association. Dan has extensive experience in the administration and management of trust services.
Senior Vice President/Trust Officer
Arnold has over 35 years of experience in banking with 28 years spent in the various areas of trust administration and account management. A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Commerce and Business Administration, Arnold has most recently been with The Peoples Bank & Trust in Tuscaloosa, an office he has managed since 2001.
Vice President/Trust Operations Manager
Carolyn has over eleven years experience in trust securities processing and trust operations with BancTrust Company, Inc. She attended Auburn University of Montgomery and is a graduate of Cannon Trust Operations School. She has received the Certified Securities Operations Professional designation.
Vice President/Trust Administrator
Elaine has over thirty years of experience in trust and estate administration beginning with the First National Bank of Brewton, the predecessor to BancTrust Company, Inc. She is a graduate of Jefferson Davis Junior College, Southern Trust School, and the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. She maintains her Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation through the Institute of Certified Bankers. Elaine is active in the community, serving as a Director for the Greater Brewton Foundation and on the Adrian and Marie Downing Educational Trust Committee.
Senior Vice President/Trust Investment Manager
Bob provides investment management for the trust company. He graduated from the University of South Alabama and holds the Certified Financial Planner and Charter Mutual Fund Counselor designations. Formerly with SunTrust Bank, Bob has over twenty four years investment experience, eighteen years of which have been as a portfolio manager for trust clients. Bob serves on the boards of the University of South Alabama National Alumni Association and the Gulf States Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.

Raymond has been employed at BankTrust Company, Inc. for thirty-three years. He has a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Alabama. He is also a graduate of Southern Trust School and a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School.
Vice President/Employee Benefits Manager
Alexis has over nineteen years of experience in the employee benefit area. She began working with First National Bank of Brewton in 1986. She has attended Southern Trust School, completed numerous Cannon Financial Employee Benefit courses, and has earned her Certified Retirement Services Professional and Certified Individual Retirement Account Services Professional designations.
Senior Vice President/Senior Trust Officer
Gary has over 40 years of experience in trust administration. He began his career with The Peoples Bank & Trust in Selma and was named head of the Trust Department there in 1977. A graduate of Auburn University, he is a graduate of the FBA Trust Training School, the American Institute of Banking Trust Department Services School, the Florida Trust School, and the National Trust School. Gary has been active with the Alabama Bankers Association Trust Division, serving as its President in 2005.
Vice President/Trust Administration
Jack has worked in the trust industry since 1998. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Alabama and is a recent graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. He received his designation of Certified Retirement Service Professional in 2001 and in 2005 achieved the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation. Jack specializes in the administration of qualified retirement plans, as well as personal trust administration.
Vice President/Trust Officer
With over 25 years of experience in journalism, sales and marketing within various industries, Scoop entered the trust field in 1998. He has both field and senior management experience in sales and marketing. In the field of trust and wealth management, his primary focus is on business development while also handling account administrative and asset management duties. A graduate of the Southern Trust School, Scoop is active with the Alabama Bankers Association Trust Division and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Southern Trust School.

Jason was a public accountant, prior to joining this trust company in 2001. He received his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Auburn University and a Masters of Accountancy with a tax concentration from the University of West Florida. Jason is also a graduate of the Southern Trust School.
